Actually, the keyboard isn't that bad. I'm having some joystick
problems, so I've had to cope when I actually wanted to play (as
opposed to dicking with my system to get things working).

I did play the original with keyboard only, and it sorta comes back,
except I have to integrate a lot more commands. The keyboard has
the advantage of not recentering the torso when you let up on the
control.

If I can't fix my 'stick problems in a couple of days, I'll probably
post a please help...
